Subject: The greatest unheralded Dead show.....ever?

This show has crept to the top of the 72 heap for me, it's just astounding from front to end. Recording quality and cuts have kept this from getting the love it needs. The closing NFA > GDTRFB > NFA peels paint. I mean what can you say about that Dark Star > Comes A Time. People must have walked around in utter disbelief after that before the 3rd set started. And they would play Roosevelt again less than 2 months later!

Although I am not as big a fan of the Europe tour as many deadheads, I am a BIG fan of many of the later '72 shows, and this show is an example. Plus, here we have an excellent MTX, downloadable! Beautiful playing throughout, with a very jazzy Dark Star.

Subject: My first show - and probably my fave ever

I was lucky enough to see the Dead several times at Roosevelt Stadium - this being the first time, then again in '73 (first night only - missed the epic Jerry birthday show), '74, and '76. If I had to choose one show as my all time fave over 20 years of seeing them, it would be a toss-up between this one and the '74 show. I just love '72 though. This is an excellent recording also and as the other reviewer noted, great job with the sbd/aud splice. Thank you Dave Usborne! Such a pleasure to listen to this on the 45th anniversary of this wonderful show!

Great quality 1972 show a month before Veneta,massive setlist with a 72 bird song,playin,dark star and all the faves..EXCELLENT sound quality,and props to whoever made the sbd/aud splice..Respect,72 era Dead ,modern era quality.
